NOTE: Beginning in 2023-24 school year, Buena Vista School District is participating in the Healthy School Meals for All program. Approved by Colorado voters, this program enables school districts to offer free meals to all students.
One meal will be offered to every student per breakfast and lunch period. Additional entrées, and à la carte items are available to purchase.

The Vision for Buena Vista Schools Food Service Department is promoting excellence in food and nutrition services as an integral part of education programs available for all children regardless of economic status, special needs or cultural diversity. Our Mission: To become "Lunch Teachers", and to safeguard the nutritional integrity and well-being of our children, through the management of school food service and nutrition education programs consistent with their nutritional needs, by serving nutritional meals.
To promote nutrition and health education that will help with the formation of good eating habits and good health, recognizing the demonstrated relationship between good nutrition so that our children have the capacity to learn and develop, which helps with the prevention of chronic disease.
